      About us

The Team

The company, Dublin Language School provides language stays for young Irish and Basques, then takes a turn towards a new philosophy that goes beyond learning a language. We want to use our experience to facilitate work tools as important as fluency in another language. We live in a globalized world in which speaking English has become vital; We need it to communicate, travel around the world, study and work, meet people from other places or simply for the personal enrichment that gives you to know other cultures. Along with this philosophy, one of our main objectives is to promote the Basque Country in Ireland and vice versa. Both countries have a very strong common bond. Thanks to fairs and conferences in different countries we have achieved a network of associated companies that help us achieve that goal.

A little history

Dublin Language Services started several years ago doing cultural and sporting exchanges between Irish and Basque youth. Shortly after, we started to organize summer courses in the Dun Laoghaire area and given the good experience we have been expanding our offer with different programs for different ages and according to the demand that arose.

We currently have students in Dublin taking a school year, working and studying, as well as a group of Irish students who are going to take a Spanish course in Bilbao. Our programs have been expanding thanks to the recommendations and good experience of our clients.

Where are we based?

Our offices are located in Dun Laoghaire and Getxo. Dun Laoghaire is a picturesque seaside town 12 km from Dublin city center, attracting Dubliners and tourists alike for the variety of attractions, activities and the beauty of the landscape. Its proximity and easy access to the center of Dublin, the security and tranquility of the area, makes our location ideal for the stay of young people. Ireland, in addition to having a very extensive cultural and historical wealth, is a country of employment opportunities where the largest technology and pharmaceutical companies in the world are based. . We have recently opened an office in Las Arenas, Getxo, a coastal town 13 kilometers from Bilbao. Bilbao is a cosmopolitan, open and modern city, linked to the sea by an estuary that divides the city in two where it is find the Guggenheim museum, one of the most avant-garde buildings of the 20th century. The gastronomy recognized throughout the world, its coastal towns, customs and landscapes make the Basque Country a benchmark with a culture rich in traditions and very diverse. There are daily Bilbao-Dublin flights with Aer Lingus * and Brittany Ferries offers a weekly ferry route between Bilbao and Ireland. (These frequencies can be altered due to COVID)
